
FNC Kicks off Summer Enrichment Program "C.A.M.P." NOW ENROLLING.. all Charles County students are welcome to apply.
Held at Mattawoman Middle School
Tuesday - Thursday, 5:15 - 7:30 pm
TUESDAY: Math Program (Grades 3rd - 9th)
An engaging program alternating between class lessons, group activities lead by volunteers, and one-on-one tutoring. The goal is to excite students about math while learning and practicing important skills. Topics to be covered:
3rd – 5th Grades: Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, and Division
6th – 9th Grades: Probability
WEDNESDAY: Science & Engineering Program (Grades 6th - 9th)
This program, led by a professional engineer, will include interactive and hands-on activities to excite students about science and engineering by showing them real-world applications. Program projects will include topics such as aerospace, automotive, infrastructure, electronics, energy, and health.
THURSDAY: Reading Program (Grades 3rd - 9th)
An interactive program to get your child excited about reading! Classroom discussions and activities will revolve around chapters the students read to help build comprehension, vocabulary, and critical thinking.
3rd – 6th Grades: "The Tiger Rising" by Kate DiCamillo
7th – 9th Grades: "The Giver" by Lois Lowry
