FNC Youth Perform for the Residents at CCNRC

Mark your calendars FNC youth will be performing its popular African American Program for the residents at:

Charles County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center

10200 La Plata Road
La Plata, MD 20646

on Saturday, June 30th 2012 from 3-5pm.

This program is expected to be explosive. Students will bring African American
History to life with a heartfelt reenactment live skit stage performance.

You must come out and support our youth as they relive and
retell history with a special performance

Held at Mattawoman Middle School

Tuesday - Thursday, 5:15 - 7:30 pm

Benefits of Program


TUESDAY: Math Program (Grades 3rd - 9th)

An engaging program alternating between class lessons, group activities lead by volunteers, and one-on-one tutoring. The goal is to excite students about math while learning and practicing important skills. Topics to be covered: 

3rd – 5th Grades: Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, and Division

6th – 9th Grades: Probability


WEDNESDAY: Science & Engineering Program (Grades 6th - 9th)

This program, led by a professional engineer, will include interactive and hands-on activities to excite students about science and engineering by showing them real-world applications. Program projects will include topics such as aerospace, automotive, infrastructure, electronics, energy, and health. 


THURSDAY: Reading Program (Grades 3rd - 9th)

An interactive program to get your child excited about reading! Classroom discussions and activities will revolve around chapters the students read to help build comprehension, vocabulary, and critical thinking.

3rd – 6th Grades: "The Tiger Rising" by Kate DiCamillo

7th – 9th Grades: "The Giver" by Lois Lowry
