Future Next Volunteer Spotlight

Tricia Warren
Community Outreach Coordinator

Tricia Warren

We would like to thank Tricia for all her hard work, commitment, and dedication to the Future Next mission in supporting young people. Tricia has over 20 year’s experience in the dental field currently working as an Ortho Clinician. She is the mother of 2 daughters and 1 son. Tricia arriving in Maryland in 2007 a native of Detroit, MI naturally and quickly was eager to serve her community.

Combined with her passion in working with children and identifying the importance of college prep and experiencing firsthand the challenges of the process with sending her own eldest daughter off to college she quickly joined and supported FNC mission from the very beginning! Tricia volunteered to developed and lead FNC's very first public reading program held at the Capital Clubhouse which had 14 enthusiastic participants enrolled in the 6 week program back in 2011. She has also taken leadership roles within the organization such as leading the 2 year ran program "Adopt a Grandparent" from 2012 to present which had over 28 volunteers over the course of the years join its forces. Also, joining the organization board of directors back in 2012. Working in a new and upcoming organization requires a lot of hard work, determination and commitment and sometimes demands you to wear many hats within the organization. Tricia has never wavered and answered the call to serve others and to support FNC mission to reaching its goals no matter what it took or what challenges were ahead. When needed or asked Tricia has stepped in and has demonstrated full support whether it be in a leadership or support roles such as supporting African American History Program, College Bound, Fundraisers, Summer Reading Program, Field trips and host of other activities.

FNC is so grateful to have such a committed volunteer with such love, dedication to children and their success. We can't express enough the importance of having programs that are effective and increase study time for students outside the classroom. Also, such programs that help youth identify they have a civic responsibility as a member of the community such as with the "Adopt a Grandparent" program that allows youth to dig deeper within themselves to show someone else outside of their immediate family they care. Tricia's commitment, willingness and compassion for community and for the youth made it all possible!

We thank you for your time, support and dedication to our organization!
